Apple Delays Advanced Siri Upgrade to 2026

Apple has delayed the highly anticipated upgrade to Siri, which was expected to understand personal context and perform tasks within apps. While the company didn't provide a specific release date, they mentioned that the new features would be rolled out over the next year, offering more personalized experiences.
The enhanced Siri was initially set to integrate more advanced capabilities, like executing app-based tasks and understanding user context. However, reports suggest the upgrade is facing technical challenges, with full integration of a large language model still years away. Although Apple has introduced features like type-to-Siri and integration with ChatGPT, the full potential of the upgrade will take more time to develop.

Retroid Offers Limited Returns for Its Unfixable Handheld

The Retroid Pocket Mini is facing an issue that prevents certain graphical effects, like scanline and pixel grid shaders, from working properly in emulated games. This causes visual problems, such as misplaced scanlines and distorted images. Retroid, the China-based company behind the device, announced a limited return window from March 8th to March 14th, with only 200 returns available for customers outside of China.
While Retroid acknowledged it can't fix the issue, it is offering affected users a return option and a $10 coupon for future handhelds. However, the company is asking customers to cover return shipping, which will be reimbursed later. Despite the offer, many gamers are left frustrated with the $199 device, which struggles with basic emulation features.

DOGE Rolls Out AI Chatbot to Automate Government Tasks

Employees at the General Services Administration (GSA) are now using a custom chatbot, GSAi, developed with Elon Musk’s DOGE to automate tasks like drafting emails, summarizing text, and writing code. The chatbot offers three models—Claude Haiku 3.5, Claude Sonnet 3.5 v2, and Meta Llama 3.2—and is primarily used for analyzing contract and procurement data. It was tested with a smaller group before rolling out to 1,500 workers, with future expansion plans.
As the GSA faces federal job cuts, including over 1,000 employees, the chatbot is part of efforts to streamline operations. However, workers were cautioned not to input sensitive or classified information into GSAi. Despite these efforts, the agency’s shrinking tech workforce remains a challenge as it adapts to ongoing budget cuts.
