Elon Musk’s xAI releases its latest flagship model, Grok 3

Elon Musk’s xAI unveiled its latest model, Grok 3, on Tuesday, claiming it outperforms OpenAI and DeepSeek in early tests focused on math, science, and coding. Musk highlighted that Grok 3 is “an order of magnitude more capable” than Grok 2 in a short amount of time, showcasing the model’s advanced reasoning skills during a live demo streamed on his social media platform, X.

Along with Grok 3, xAI introduced “Deep Search,” a new next-gen search engine. Grok 3 will be accessible to premium X subscribers starting Tuesday, and also through separate subscriptions for web and app versions.

Musk, at the World Governments Summit, referred to Grok 3 as “scary smart,” surpassing all other models in xAI’s internal tests. Although still in beta, he assured that the model will improve rapidly, with voice assistance features coming soon.

Spotify is finally bringing Hi-Fi streaming this year

Nearly four years after announcing a HiFi tier, Spotify is set to launch its lossless audio service, Bloomberg reports. The new tier, likely called "Music Pro," could cost an extra $5 or $6 per month, in line with CEO Daniel Ek’s estimates. Currently, Spotify Premium starts at $11.99 per month.

Unlike competitors like Apple Music, which include lossless streaming at no extra cost, Spotify plans to add extra features like song remixing and exclusive concert ticket offers to justify the price hike. Music Pro subscribers may also get early access to deals.

Spotify has recently signed new licensing agreements with Warner and Universal Music Groups, securing rights for HiFi streaming and hinting at exclusive perks like deluxe content, early releases, and artist events.

Apple Vision Pro to get Apple Intelligence in April

Apple plans to introduce Apple Intelligence to its Vision Pro headset in an update expected by April, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman reports. This follows the announcement of the AI suite in June 2024, with Apple working to adapt its tools for the mixed reality experience.

The update, likely part of the visionOS 2.4 release, will bring features like Writing Tools, Genmoji, and Image Playground, with a developer version available soon. However, the first rollout won’t include an upgraded Siri, as Apple may face delays due to ongoing engineering issues and bugs.

Gurman also mentions that the much-anticipated Siri upgrade could be postponed, impacting its broader launch. The Vision Pro’s new AI features aim to improve its mixed reality capabilities, offering users more engaging tools.
